Last fall, my family and extended family visited a harvest festival here in Minnesota. Immediately when walking into this place, the first thing you see is fields and fields of wildflowers. It is so gorgeous. Sunflower fields mixed with zinnias spreading all around you. It was like walking into a dream. 
 
My children were so excited about all of the bumblebees and monarch butterflies flying around and I felt like a little kid again too! I was able to capture this photo of a monarch butterfly on this orange zinnia and I just knew I needed to paint it in this new style I'm exploring. I hope it brings you the same joy I felt seeing it all in person.
