Hi, I'm Nikki!

Based in Minnesota, I create portraits for art and animal lovers all around the world with the purpose of spreading joy to the lives of others.
With every portrait I create, I am dedicated to bringing out the beautiful details and personalities of your baby or pet. Every portrait is created with the upmost care and attention to detail. I understand that each and every drawing holds a special meaning for my clients, and I aim to make the entire process as simple and exciting as possible.

All of my drawings are done on a high quality, smooth drawing board, and for my colored pencil portraits, I use Faber Castell Polychromos and Caran d'Ache Supracolor Soft pencils. Both of these colored pencils provide high quality pigments of unsurpassed lightfastness, meaning your drawing will be beautiful, vibrant, and should never fade!

Nikki created a gorgeous hand drawn portrait of our youngest daughter from a photo that I emailed to her. I had a few photos picked out that I thought would work for the portrait and she helped me narrow down the best one for her to work from. The entire process of working with Nikki (i.e., contacting and communicating with her about the portrait through to receiving the finished portrait in the mail) was such a pleasure! She was upfront about her expectations and timeline of completing the project, and she checked in with me along the way while she was creating the portrait to ensure that I liked how it was turning out. My family and I could even follow along on her Instagram to watch her in action, which was amazing and SO fun to watch! I will definitely contact Nikki about another commissioned artwork of one of our dogs next.
